This ones all about me!
The Lord works in Mysterious ways.
I GOT A JOB!
I lost my job back in Sept 2017. I cant say I'm sad to lose the job, i didn't love the job or the atmosphere there. My co-workers swore left and right and i could come home ornery and take it out on my Husband and kids. I hated the commute 45 mins each way, no fun! As i began looking for jobs I was only applying to ones that were in Utah County no more commuting to Salt Lake.
In the time since I lost my Job Mike was in and out of the hospital all the times. (see previous posts) It would have been so hard to be working and trying to be with Mike and the kids. I believe my Father in Heaven knew what was going to happen and therefore let me lose my job so I could be here for Mike. I had the strong impression that I needed to be home to help Mike and after we went to the U of U to the big appointments there in Jan 2018 I would be able to find a job. So with this feeling and my faith I continued to look for jobs, go to interviews and keep getting rejection letters. I struggled with keeping my eye and heart on this impression I got in the face of so many rejections. Its so hard to want to be able to support my family and not be able too.
We went to the appointments up at the U and I continued to apply for job. I received and an interview for an Office Assistant job for a small financial services office. I went to the Interview and felt very confident, very relaxed and after the interview I called Mike and said......
"This is the Job! i want this to be the right job. I don't want to jinks this but I want this job. I think I would be a good fit there and I want this job." My interview was at 3:30 and I got a call from them at 4:30 offering me the job...... Coincidence I think the Lord prepared me for this job.
I have now been working with the company for 3 weeks. there is so much to learn, there is a whole new Financial Language that I am learning and some days I feel overwhelmed but Mike always comments that I come home in a good mood, with a smile on my face even while feeling overwhelmed. I am really loving the job, I enjoy the people I work with and I love atmosphere. I have found my place, a place I can make a difference at.
I was talking to one of the 2 people that I interviewed with and just told him how grateful I was for the opportunity to be given a job there and how I walked out of the interview knowing or wanting to work there. He then told me he knew he was supposed to hire me even before the interview. He looked at my Facebook and knew that I was the one for them. he felt like i was going to be someone who wouldn't just work there for a paycheck. He told me as we were interviewing he received conformation that I was the right person to work there and so they didn't want to waste any time offering me the Job.
I have been struggling with my Fibromyalgia lately but being in the positive work environment has made it not seem so bad. When I was working at my last job I think the negative work environment had an impact on my pain. I am in a great deal of pain as I sit here and write this but I remind myself that the Lord knows me and Loves me and will always be here for me, just like he was there for me in helping me find my job! I don't need more than the love from my family and my Heavenly Father and his Son, my Savior with all this anything is possible.
